The Barbershop Harmony Society is currently offering internships for the spring/summer of 2009 for the following position: Music Library/Licensing Intern for full or part-time work on a pro bono basis. This intern position is non-paid and freelance, but all contributors will receive a one-page presentation of themselves on our website.

Projects/Duties:
  • Assist the Library Licensing Coordinator, Julie Grower, in updating arrangement catalog in Aptify with current licensor and medley information.
  • Assist in organizing and optimizing space in music library
    • Create new type-written file-folders
    • Move materials to appropriate locations
    • Catalog materials
    • Catalog newly acquired collections
    • Assist in digitizing process
  • Assist in large-scale mailings and convention preparation for Music Department as needed
Ideal candidates would be college students who are interested in pursuing a career in music or music licensing industry.

Candidate must be able to juggle numerous projects and responsibilities working quickly with strong attention to detail.
