Live stream events
  • Delivered via YouTube Live, viewable on any device that can display YouTube
  • During the live event, viewers may interact in real time with the moderator and instructor to ask questions, share ideas, etc.
  • Following the live event, the video will be available in the On-Demand section.
On-Demand
  • Includes fully-produced new content, best-of-breed courses from Harmony University at Belmont, and archives of Live Stream events
  • Delivered via YouTube Live, viewable on any device that can display YouTube
  • Replay at your leisure using your private link
Classroom series
  • Classes meet on a regular schedule for a set number of session, e.g. six consecutive weeks on Wednesday evenings
  • Classes  include a live classroom portion (lecture, discussion, etc.) and an online classroom component (course material, discussion boards, etc.)
  • Following course completion, archives may be available

Belting is a musical theater technique evoking strong emotions at intense moments of a song. In barbershop, we call that posting (or hanging), usually found at a tag, but also in intro. Learn from voice researcher and belting expert Dr. Amelia Rollings, Asst. Professor of Musical Theater Vocal Pedagogy from Western Kentucky University, as she takes us through the finer points of safe, healthy belting and how it applies to the barbershop style. Includes live demonstrations.

This course is designed for quartet singers, judges, coaches, and practitioners of the voice.

The purpose of the class is to give budding arrangers formal training online where they not only interact with the instructor in an online “live” setting but also interact with other new arrangers to build a network to bounce ideas that can extend long after the course concludes.

This course meets virtually every Sunday evening from 7-8 pm Central Time Zone from April 29-June 3 (six class sessions). The live lecture will be recorded and available to the students at the class conclusion that evening. Arranging assignments, discussion, examples, and other interaction with the instructor and classmates will occur in between live lectures.

This course is geared for those interested in barbershop arranging. You should already have a working knowledge of music theory and music notation software (several options for purchase, but also several free options as well).

Better singing starts with the individual. Society staff and vocal expert Steve Scott will host a series of 3 hour-long classes to help you get started on an effective vocal development program in your chapter. Steve will share some of experience being the Voice Coach for Central Standard and Music City Choruses. Classes will include both discussion, demonstration, and a community aspect.

Rehearse Like a Quartet Champion with Forefront Quartet
