Exciting Opportunity in Philly!
We Need Singers for a Parade!

We have been invited to march in the Wawa Welcome America Independence Day Parade on the 4th of July, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. (call time will be 10:15 a.m.) The parade will start in front of Independence Hall and run one mile.  The songs will be God Bless America (arrangement by Greg Lyne) and Star-Spangled Banner (arrangement by Val Hicks).

The group will directed by Society Music Specialist James Estes, and will be limited to 300 singers.  No rehearsal involved.  Sign up quickly - spots are on a first come, first served basis.  If we have at least 250 we will be mentioned in the promotions for the parade.

Be Hip!  Be Cool!
Use a Social Media Tool!
Help Your Chapter Grow!

Don't feel alone if you break out in a sweat at the thought of using Facebook or Twitter!  It's just a matter of learning how to use a new tool - just like you learned how to use email.  Your investment of a little time will be rewarded when you book more concerts, attract bigger audiences and eventually get more members.

Here's the Help You Need to Get Started:

Bob Fichtner (from the Midwest Vocal Express), assisted by Montana Jack, has written an article entitled Social Media for Barbershop Quartets and Choruses.  Bob and Montana explain how to reach more people and target younger generations. Don't be afraid!  These step-by-step instructions will have you up and running and reaping the benefits in no time!

We want to know if this helps you - tell us on the Society's Blog.
