The Chorus Director Development Committee is planning a breakfast in Kansas City during our International Convention to recognize all of those barbershoppers who have reached CERTIFICATION status. Our special guests will be Master Director Jim Bagby and Rural Route 4, who will be celebrating their 25th anniversary this year.

Alex Harmonizers 

 

Alexandria Harmonizers 

to Sing for Benefit at Carnegie Hall

 

The Alexandria Harmonizers, directed by Joe Cerutti, will be the special guest for a concert at Carnegie Hall on Friday, May 20, 2011. The event is a Charity Concert for relief efforts in Sendai, Japan, a city near the epicenter of the March 11 massive earthquake and tsunami. The Japanese HAGI Chorus of Sendai will appear, as well as the Men's Glee Club of Tokyo & Kansai, Japan and other men's choruses from New York, NY and Detroit, MI.

 

Tickets are free - but going fast! If you will be in NYC on May 20 and would like to attend, please call Joe at 646-671-3330.

 

The Alexandria Harmonizers is also collecting funds to be presented at the concert.  If you would like to help, please send your donation to Mike Shirota, 6 Aster Ct., Paramus, NJ 07652. Checks should be made out to the Sendai Relief Fund, and all donations will go directly to the city of Sendai.

You Pick the Quartet, You Pick the Song!

Online Registration for Sing with the Champs 

 

ONLINE registration is now active for Sing with the Champs in Kansas City! Picture yourself wearing a gold medal and crushing chords with one of the greatest quartets of all time - pick from Storm Front, Crossroads, Max Q, OC Times, Vocal Spectrum, FRED, Rural Route 4, or theSuntones on Saturday, July 9, from 9 am to noon. 

 

CLICK HERE to choose the song from each quartet's repertoire. All proceeds from the $50 registration go to Harmony Foundation. Sign-up will be first-come, first-served, with a limit of one song per person. Naked Voice Records (a fully owned subsidiary of Niche Music Group), will once again sponsor the event and will process your credit card upon registration. You'll receive a digital video recording and photo immediately upon completion of your song.

The Champs are looking forward to singing with YOU!
