| Here's How to Stay Legal on Copyright Issues! The Society's Library/Licensing Manager, Erin Elkins, has compiled a list of FAQ's that will answer almost all your burning questions about copyright, legal affairs and licensing of music. Every Society member should be aware of the legal and ethical issues regarding reproducing music in any form! So, please READ UP on this, and make sure your chorus or quartet is squeaky clean on this important issue! | Coming to America! Early Bird Rate Extended to August 31 for New Barbershop Category Next year will be the first time the World Choir Games has come to America - and it will be the first time there's a barbershop category! The games take place in Cincinnati, OH from July 4 - 14, 2012, and the barbershop category is July 11-13, well past our convention, which ends on the 8th. This event, sponsored by INTERKULTUR, is an opportunity to experience the universal language of music with thousands of singers from many cultures all over the world. The Southern Gateway Chorus of Cincinnati will be participating - join them, and help share the barbershop style with new listeners! WCG has extended the early-bird registration date to August 31 just for the barbershop category! Click HERE for more information. | | Convention Attendees: 3 Days Left to Take Survey If you attended the 2011 International Convention in Kansas City, this CONVENTION SURVEY is your opportunity to share your experiences and thoughts. Please complete by July 31. It won't take long, but it means a lot! Thanks! |
