Next year will be the first time the World Choir Games has come to America - and it will be the first time there's a barbershop category! The games take place in Cincinnati, OH from July 4 - 14, 2012, and the barbershop category is July 11-13, well past our convention, which ends on the 8th. This event, sponsored by INTERKULTUR, is an opportunity to experience the universal language of music with thousands of singers from many cultures all over the world. The Southern Gateway Chorus of Cincinnati will be participating - join them, and help share the barbershop style with new listeners! WCG has extended the early-bird registration date to August 31 just for the barbershop category! America Sings, hosted by Drew Lachey, is a contest show similar to American Idol, and airs on GMC Wednesdays at 9 pm (10 pm ET). Tucson hotel reservations can be made starting September 15, and Portland starting December 15 for early birds/VIPs!
