Nashville, April 28, 2009 – The sounds you hear will be harmonious. They will be plentiful. And they will be uniquely American in their roots, but expansively international in their impact. They will come from thousands of people gathering to join in song in Anaheim, California June 28 – July 5.
Close harmony singers from across the world will meet in Anaheim for the Barbershop Harmony Society’s 71st annual international convention and competitions. Singers and their fans from several countries will gather for shows, clinics, competitions, and good old-fashioned sing-alongs.
Harmony Foundation Presents Show
Celebrate the Harmony Foundation’s 50th anniversary with a gold medal cast! With a combined total of 19 International Chorus Championships, The Ambassadors of Harmony, Masters of Harmony and The Vocal Majority will headline a celebration of a cappella sound in “Harmony Foundation presents…” Show on Saturday, July 4 at 2:00 pm, in the Honda Center.
The concert will benefit Harmony Foundation, the fundraising arm of the Barbershop Harmony Society. It is a featured event of the Society’s annual international convention and competitions to be held July 1-4 in Anaheim. Also featured on the show are the two-time Sweet Adelines International Chorus Champion Harborlites from Anaheim.
Ticket prices are $25, $35 and $75, plus handling fees. They may be purchased online at www.harmonyfoundation.org/presents, or www.ticketmaster.com. A portion of the ticket price will be tax-deductible.
Funds raised from the concert will be used by the Harmony Foundation to develop youth music education programs, distribute free music to high school educators and students, support scholarships, travel to schools, and much more!
