San Angelo Texas ChapterFor organizing a performance of 200 + singers on the first anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks. The San Angelo Men's Freedom Chorus, consisting of chapter members and local singers, provided an inspiring event that attracted an audience of more than 6,000 in a United We Sing-type event and generated city-wide recognition and appreciation. Jack Watters & Randy Burnett of MarylandFor organizing the performance for Flag Day of June 2003 where the combined choruses of Petapsco Valley, Dundalk & Baltimore, Maryland chapters sang at Fort McHenry (7th year) for an enthusiastic crowd of about 7,000 to celebrate the birth of the U.S. Flag and the National Anthem. Dr. Don Blank & Terry Beek of NebraskaFor organizing and promoting nearly 400 Nebraska Barbershoppers to sing the National Anthem August 29, August 31 and September 21, 2002 for University of Nebraska at Lincoln, Omaha, and Kearney for an estimated total of 100,000 football fans. West Town Sound of ColoradoSteve Jackson, Ted Cluett, Dr. Tony Pranaitis, Damian Berger for performing on the steps of the state capitol building during a large interfaith service and the week-long Martin Luther King, Jr. Day celebrations, and during the appearance of The Music Man road tour in Denver. Lynn Hauldren of ChicagoFor making "AudioFile," his unique collection of 12,000 songs from the late 1920s to the 1940s, available via the Society website to the membership and promoting donations to Harmony Foundation. Michigan JakeDrew Kirkman, Mark Hale, Joel Wilson, and Greg Hollander for their live appearance on ABC's "In Search of America" July 4th, 2002 hosted by Peter Jennings. The Vocal Majority Chorus - DallasFor the production of "A Vocal Majority Christmas," an hour-long Christmas television special produced by Dallas’ JSP Creative and simulcast on the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex's CBS 11 television station and KRLD News Radio 1080 Christmas Eve 2002. Bill Galloway of Bedford/Sackville Chapter Nova ScotiaFor his supportive work promoting online communication for Barbershoppers.
