WORLD SINGERS HARMONIZE AT JAMBOREE ON JULY 7
“Keep the whole world singing” is the motto of the 69-year-old Barbershop Harmony Society. And it will be doing just that when 12 international choruses and quartets take the stage on Saturday, July 7, 2:30 p.m. in Buell Theatre for the free-wheeling World Harmony Jamboree.
The groups’ entertainment showcases will include both comedy and more serious singing during the featured event of the Barbershop Harmony Society’s international convention in Denver July 3-8. This is the first time the convention will be held in Denver.
Among the performers will be award-winning singers from New Zealand, Australia, Germany, Great Britain, Canada and the U.S., all performing in the uniquely American musical style of barbershop harmony.
The groups have garnered top medals awarded by the Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers, Sweet Adelines International, Harmony Inc., British Association of Barbershop Singers, Barbershop in Germany, the Association of Australian Men’s Barbershop Singers and the Barbershop Harmony Society.
Tickets are $35 and $25, plus applicable handling fees. They may be purchased an hour prior to performance time at the door.
