BARBERSHOP HARMONY SOCIETY ELECTS GREG CAETANO TO BOARD
Nashville, TN. The world’s largest all-male singing society elected Greg Caetano of Chicago, Illinois, to its board of directors, representing the Central States and Illinois Districts. Caetano will help guide strategic planning for the Barbershop Harmony Society, a non-profit organization of 30,000 male close-harmony singers in the United States and Canada. His districts cover 96 chapters.
As a Linux technology engineer for Hewlett-Packard Company. Caetano defines, develops and presents technology solutions related to the deployment and management of linux-based infrastructure systems to customers, employees and attendees of major trade show and training events. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems Engineering from University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is a Red Hat Certified Engineer.
A member of the Society since 1986, Caetano has held numerous chapter and district offices including District President. Currently a member of the Northbrook IL Chapter, Caetano competed internationally with his chorus in four separate years including 2006 and 2007. He has served as a judge, teacher and coach, and has contributed to the district performance manual. He currently serves on the chapter music committee and holds a lifetime membership in the Barbershop Harmony Society.
