SINGING VALENTINE QUARTET SAVES WOMAN FROM ANGRY POSSUM!

The Music Men of Dubuque, Iowa have been delivering Singing Valentines since 1994 and have encountered many unusual circumstances.  But what they found at one surprised recipient’s house on Valentine’s Day beats anything they’ve ever seen.

The quartet, comprised of Jim McAuliffe, Doug Schmidt, Bill Haxmeier and Bob Summers, was supposed to deliver a Singing Valentine as one woman arrived home from work.  The quartet waited patiently in their van in the driveway.  As scheduled, the recipient pulled into her driveway, opened the garage door and parked her car.  All was going as planned except that the woman would not get out of the car when she noticed a very belligerent, hissing possum that had somehow gotten into her garage.  The guys said, “In the possum's defense, it was snowing and really cold outside.”

Baritone Jim McAuliffe to the rescue!
