ASCAP Reporting Form for 2022

ASCAP Reporting Form for 2022

The Barbershop Harmony Society has a blanket agreement with ASCAP (The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers) to pay significantly reduced licensing fees for all U.S. chapters and ensuring their legal compliance for live, in-person public performances of the songs represented by ASCAP.

As a friendly reminder, All U.S. Chapters and Districts must complete an annual ASCAP Reporting Form and submit it (with corresponding payment, if applicable) by the end of each calendar year.

(NOTE: For older forms, click here to view the older forms located in the Member Center. Member login required)

If your chapter is not producing any shows (free, benefit or ticketed) with live, in-person public performances during the year 2022, a form is still required by completing Section A.

Districts, if you hosted or produced a show as a part of your convention, or perhaps had a show as a part of a youth event, you are liable for an ASCAP report and applicable fee. Otherwise, please complete Section A.

***NEW FOR 2022*** U.S. Chapters paying only the minimum fee for 2022 can now pay their fee with a credit card:

U.S. Chapters who wish to pay via check can download the report form, complete, then mail with payment to:
Attn: Music Library
Barbershop Harmony Society
110 7th Avenue North
Nashville, TN 37203-3704

U.S. Chapters with no scheduled in-person shows in 2022 can email the completed report form to library@barbershop.org .

If you have not yet submitted your 2021 ASCAP Reporting Form and applicable payment, please do so as soon as possible.

Please note that if you are a Canadian Chapter or District, you are not required to submit an ASCAP annual report; however, SOCAN reporting requirements must be satisfied by your group.

PLEASE NOTE: BMI/SESAC Show Clearance Forms/Payments for U.S. Chapters are to be sent to districts (or their assignee) for processing for each in-person show produced by your group.
