Ground transportation in Salt Lake comes in a wide variety of options. Many hotels offer complimentary airport shuttle service. Utah Transit Authority (UTA) provides mass transit via buses and TRAX light-rail throughout the Salt Lake area, including the airport and mountain resorts. Taxi, bus, shuttle, and limousine companies provide door-to-door service to the destination of your choice. If you choose to drive, the downtown parking app makes it easy to get around.
TRAX Light Rail
Light-rail lines, called TRAX, provide access to downtown Salt Lake from across the valley on three color-coded lines. All of the lines run through downtown. The Green line begins at the Salt Lake International Airport, runs through downtown Salt Lake and the out to West Valley City. At the airport riders can board at the station and Welcome Center just outside terminal one. Fare is $2.50 and trains run every 15 minutes. Weekday service runs from 5:30 am to 11:30 pm, with a more limited schedule on weekends.
Buses and Public Transportation
Buses provide connecting service at many of the TRAX and FrontRunner stations to get you almost anywhere in the Greater Salt Lake Area. Bus routes can be found across the Salt Lake Valley, Ogden, Utah County and up to Brigham City. There is also a connecting bus route to Park City (which has its own transit system). During ski season, UTA provides ski bus access up Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons to Alta, Brighton, Snowbird, and Solitude.

Bike Share Program: GREENbike SLC
A Bike Share program is a network of many Bike Share stations, where members can take ANY bike, from ANY station, as many times as they like for a small membership fee. A 24-hour Access Pass, 4-day or Annual Membership lets you take UNLIMITED 30min trips at no extra charge!
Access passes for GREENbike are available for as little as $5 for a 24-hour access pass. You can purchase those passes at the GREENbike stations. If you prefer to take care of your access pass online, you can get a 4-day passes online for just $1.
