The Dream Chorus Experience
Compete on barbershop's biggest stage in a unique, high-quality, one-time-only chorus!
The real contest. Real scores.
More than a showcase, more intense than a Festival, this will be an actual competing chorus in the BHS 2026 International Chorus Contest. The Dream Chorus will be scored and ranked on the Official Scoring Summary, alongside all other qualifying choruses in the final results.
And YOU can be one of the singers.
Registration is limited to 150 singers! Sign up as soon as possible, but no later than April 15, 2026!
What you'll do
- Rehearsals: Wednesday to Saturday during the convention week
- Music: Two contest songs, selected by the director and provided to participants by April 15.
- Arrangements will be accessible to all vocal ranges
- Sheet music and tracks will be provided to all singers
- Perform! The Dream Chorus sings as the first chorus in Session 3 of the BHS 2026 International Chorus Contest on Saturday, July 4, 2026. [See order of appearance.]
- The event will be livestreamed — but it's best seen in the room where it happens. Bring your family to see you on the International stage!
Who can sing in the Dream Chorus?
- All voices welcome! All vocal ranges have a place in this chorus, from SSAA treble through TTBB bass
- All ages welcome! Sing with your entire family!
- Must be a BHS member in good standing. As an entrant in an official BHS contest, all singers must be full members of the Barbershop Harmony Society.
- Must not be competing in another chorus in the same contest
- Must hold a full convention registration
- Must purchase the $39 Dream Chorus ticket

These choruses are high-quality contest experiences! Previous Dream Choruses have achieved A-level performances on the International stage. Show up fully prepared to sing at a very high level— and expect quality from everyone around you!
