A Week-Long educational experience in all things barbershop

Join us on the beautiful Belmont University campus in Nashville, Tennessee July 21 - 28, 2019 for an experience you won't soon forget! Whether you’re an experienced musician or just starting out, we’ve got options for all ages ranges and experiences. Come with your quartet or chorus for our daily coaching sessions, participate in our leadership college, hone your director skills, or learn how to add barbershop harmony to your curriculum (and, if you’re a music teacher, earn Graduate or CEU credits while you’re at it!). You’ll learn, be inspired, and walk away with friends from around the world who all have one thing in common: the love of a ringin’ barbershop chord! Won’t you join us?

Testimonials

Thank you for the opportunity to attend the 2018 Harmony University Conference. Not only was it an enjoyable experience, but the conference has also equipped me with new ideas and resources that I can utilize in my teaching this school year. It’s been my impression that the majority of people at this conference are friendly, genuine, and eager to share music with others. I love that the society’s mission is to bring people together through harmony. I’ll continue to make that my goal as well, both in this coming school year and in the years to come.

This week has been beyond amazing!! We were blessed to work with wonderful individuals who have given us the tools to really hone our craft and use our gifts to further our mission of healing our world. Thank you to Barbershop Harmony Society and Don Rose for giving us a place like Harmony University where we can connect, collaborate, and commune with one another. Representing the Grand Central Red Caps and their legacy was an honor and privilege. Thank you Chris Rimple for facilitating the space so that we can further our mission and share our vision with others. We appreciate your work towards inclusivity, and we look forward to further collaboration.

Wow! Mind blowing week in Nashville at Harmony University. There are not enough words to express how full my brain and heart are. ❤️ Thanks to everyone I encountered this week who helped create so many amazing memories and special moments. What a thrill and privilege to serve on this incredible faculty. Thanks, BHS for a fantastic week I won’t soon forget.

After nearly four decades in the technology industry, I have attended dozens of conferences and technology forums where if I was lucky, I learned a little and networked with people in the same industry. The week I spent at HU was easily one of the most rewarding of my life, and for the first time I felt that I not only learned something every day, but what I learned stuck, and the joy and camaraderie left me wanting more. I already look forward to HU2019 to reacquaint myself with new friends.
