ASCAP Reporting
All U.S. Chapters and Districts must complete an annual ASCAP Reporting Form and submit it (with corresponding payment, if applicable) by the end of each calendar year.
If your chapter is not producing any shows (free, benefit or ticketed) with live, in-person public performances during the year, a form is still required by completing Section A and submitting to BHS. U.S. Chapters with no scheduled in-person shows can email their completed report form to library@barbershop.org.
U.S. Chapters paying only the minimum fee for the current year can now pay their fee with a credit card through the BHS Shop store (Harmony Marketplace):
Pay the minimum fee by visiting the BHS Shop site.
Add the ASCAP Report Form to your order cart. After your payment you will receive an email with your receipt and a prompt to download, complete, and save the report form to your device.
Email your completed form with your Order Number (or copy of your order) to library@barbershop.org.
The Music Library will confirm receipt via email to you.
U.S. Chapters who wish to pay via check can complete the report, print, and mail check (made payable to the Barbershop Harmony Society) to:
Attn: Music Library
Barbershop Harmony Society
110 7th Avenue North
Nashville, TN 37203-3704
Districts: if you hosted or produced a show as a part of your convention, or perhaps had a show as a part of a youth event, you are liable for an ASCAP report and applicable fee. Otherwise, please complete Section A and submit to BHS.
If you have not yet submitted your previous year's ASCAP Reporting Form and applicable payment, please do so as soon as possible.
BMI and SESAC Reporting
PLEASE NOTE: BMI/SESAC Show Clearance Forms/Payments for U.S. Chapters are to be sent to districts (or their assignee) for processing for each in-person show produced by your group. Districts may also use this form for show/event reportings.
SOCAN Reporting
Canadian Chapters/Districts: SOCAN reporting requirements must be satisfied by your group for public performances. Do not utilize ASCAP or BMI/SESAC report forms for this. Please visit Entandem Licensing's website for assistance with SOCAN reporting.
