Suggested Repertoire for Senior Singers

Suggested Repertoire List

This curated repertoire list is designed to help directors program confidently for senior singers (generally 55+) by prioritizing musical joy, vocal comfort, and audience connection. Selections favor moderate tessitura, clear melodic lines, and manageable phrase lengths, with voicings and keys that sit well for most ensembles and can be transposed as needed. You’ll find a mix of classic barbershop, familiar standards, and newer charts chosen for text clarity, predictable form, and quick learnability—ideal for outreach sets, short-run programs, and paper-down moments.

Use the list to build balanced sets (alternate higher-demand pieces with gentler charts), plan seated or mixed formations when helpful, and insert brief tag or SOVT interludes to support stamina. Treat these titles as a starting point; adjust keys, cuts, and pacing to fit your singers and venue.
