St. Louis’ own Ambassadors of Harmony capture SIXTH Chorus Championship
In a thrilling contest decided by a single point out of 2400 scored, THE AMBASSADORS OF HARMONY from St. Louis won the gold medals in the 2026 International Chorus Contest at The Dome.
The six-time champs edged out the Music City Chorus of Nashville and 36 other choruses from the U.S., U.K, Japan and New Zealand in the annual contest, presented by the Barbershop Harmony Society.
The Ambassadors sang the classic Righteous Brothers hit “Unchained Melody” and vintage barbershop tune “Muskrat Ramble” to capture the top prize.
Earlier in the week, Gateway, a young quartet also hailing from St. Louis, won the Next Generation Barbershop Varsity Quartet Contest, for singers aged 25 and under.

The week’s contests concluded Saturday night with GQ becoming the first women's quartet to capture the BHS International Quartet Contest.
