As a social activity benefit manager Grouper's primary objective is to get, and keep, people active. On a monthly basis Grouper will send you an email regarding participation in Barbershopper activities. Grouper will use your answers to report activity data to your health plan. It is critical that you record participation to ensure that together we can maximize the benefits of participation and ensure continued eligibility.
How long does it take to see if my plan is eligible?
After you sign up, the Grouper team reviews your health plan and The Barbershop Harmony Society membership status. Within 3-5 business days, expect an email notifying you of the eligibility status for this benefit.

How long does it take to receive my check?
It can take up to 45 days to receive your check via mail after you have completed the attestation form that Grouper will send via email. If you have not received this, please check your spam folder.
Does Grouper only cover a portion of my dues one time?
No, Grouper can cover a portion of your membership once a year, every year, as long as your health plan includes the Grouper benefit and you are an active member of The Barbershop Harmony Society.
I pay my BHS monthly. Am I still eligible?
Yes- Grouper will send you one check for $100.00 that you can use towards your monthly payments.
I am a 50+year member. Am I eligible?
Yes- you are still eligible to receive a $100.00 check! You can apply your $100.00 check towards your chapter dues, if applicable.

What if I don’t report any activities?
If you do not report any activity and request a renewal payment, Grouper will contact you to confirm your continued activity and engagement over the last 6 months. If you have no activity to report, you will not be reimbursed for your renewal dues.
