Keep Student Singers Engaged in Your Virtual Classroom

Keep your students singing with the Virtual Junior Quartet Contest!

The first-ever Virtual Junior Quartet Contest, hosted by the Barbershop Harmony Society, is now underway!

BHS General Logo Purple

This exciting new opportunity offers singers aged 18 and under the chance to form a barbershop quartet with their peers in a virtual environment.

With so many music educators working virtually at the moment, this option is the perfect way to include the uniquely American barbershop art form within your online-based curriculum.

EASY TO PARTICIPATE!

  1. Learn one barbershop song (See our Suggested Song List and this list of great songs).
  2. Make a virtual video** of your quartet performing. Be creative!
  3. Register your YouTube video and share the voting page!

The most votes will have their video showcased at our Virtual Midwinter Show in January!

Registrations now open, and close December 15, 2020!

If you need additional direction, our staff is also here to help you find the right arrangement and voicing. For more information, please contact outreach@barbershop.org.

**We do not encourage quartets to rehearse or perform together in person. This contest is for virtual participation only.
