Florida women capture Varsity Quartet Championship

Radiant, a barbershop quartet from the Tampa area, earned the top prize in the 2025 Next Generation Barbershop Varsity Quartet contest, presented by the Barbershop Harmony Society.

With the win, they became the first all-female quartet to win the contest; prior to 2022, the Varsity contest had been open to men only.

Radiant had previously captured the 2024 Rising Star contest presented by Sweet Adelines International, making them the first quartet to capture both championships.

Radiant’s winning performance was of a caliber that would have placed the quartet in the top 30 of the BHS International Quartet Contest, a reflection of the ever-increasing competitiveness of the Varsity contest.

2. Suite Life • 81.2%
   Lex Goity, Cody Mathewson, Tripp Carter, Zach Gould

3. Promenade • 81.2%
   Will Harris, Will Lynch, Harry Burt, Kieran King

4. Ami Quartet • 79.6%
   Isabel Clarke, Alexandra Georgiadis, Matt Friend, Matthew Pandya

5. Talk of the Town • 79.4%
   Samuel Rickerd, Bernard Reen, Giovanni Castiglione, Nikolas Porte
