Barbershop Your Way in Upgraded Member Center

Upgraded Member Center will make it easier to barbershop your way

For a few months now we’ve been talking about the enhancements we’re making to Member Center to help make it easier for you to “barbershop your way.”

Some of the improvements are specifically for our leaders of chapters and singing communities, to help you manage the business of barbershop. Other enhancements are for all barbershoppers -- and hopefully will make it easier to welcome even more people to the joy of singing barbershop harmony!

For Volunteer Leaders

Our volunteer leaders are our “power users,” so we’ve taken several steps with you in mind, including:

  • Easier navigation to manage your community roster
  • More intuitive options for sorting and filtering
  • Customized layout based on volunteer roles, putting the things you need most often at your fingertips

For Members

The average barbershopper accesses Member Center less frequently, but we haven’t forgotten you! Look for:

  • Options for seasonal mailing addresses (we’re looking at you, snowbirds)
  • Easier membership renewal that doesn’t require you to log in
  • Quick links to the resources used most frequently.

We hope you’ll also notice that we’ve made an effort to use welcoming and inclusive language throughout the new Member Center, whether it’s referring to a spouse/partner or how people gender identify.

STAY IN THE KNOW: LAUNCH PLANNED FOR JANUARY 2021

Based on the current schedule, Member Center will not be accessible January 4-5, 2021. A team of BHS staff and volunteers will conduct testing January 6-10, 2021.

Expect to see an email in your inbox on January 11, when you can login and explore! And remember, when logging into our upgraded Member Center for the first time, you will be asked to reset your password.

We are planning to keep making improvements to the new Member Center so that you get the most out of the platform! Keep up to date with our progress, including updates and “How-To” tutorials, at barbershop.org/newmembercenter.
